Air raid sirens were sounded in five regions of Ukraine on the morning of March 23. The Ministry of Digital Transformation of the country reported this.
Sirens were heard in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv regions of Ukraine, as well as in parts of the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions controlled by Kyiv.
The air raid was declared from 04:01 to 07:01 Moscow time.
Shortly before this, the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, reported that three explosions had occurred in the city within 24 hours.
There was also an explosion in Odessa.
On the evening of March 22, a powerful explosion occurred in the Ukrainian-controlled city of Zaporizhia.
Russian military forces began targeting Ukrainian infrastructure since October 2022, shortly after the explosion on the Crimean Bridge. Since then, air raids have been regularly declared in various regions of Ukraine, often throughout the entire country. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the attacks are carried out on objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication.
Earlier, Putin once again expressed Russia’s readiness for negotiations on Ukraine.
