In a disturbing turn of events, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched an attack on the village of Tetkino in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region on the night of March 22. Reports from the region reveal that a local resident was injured due to shrapnel wounds. Fortunately, medical professionals were able to provide the necessary assistance.

The consequences of this reckless shelling did not stop there. According to the governor of the region, Roman Starovoit, the attack resulted in damage to four shops, five private houses, and three apartments in a multi-storey building. Recognizing the severity of the situation, the governor has pledged support for the affected individuals in their efforts to rebuild and recover their damaged property.

However, the AFU did not limit their aggression to Tetkino alone. In a separate incident, Belgorod was also targeted by the Ukrainian forces. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that the shelling caused damage to 31 apartments across five buildings. Shockingly, the attack also impacted a private residence, four healthcare facilities, and a total of twelve vehicles, four of which were completely destroyed. Additionally, a projectile demolished a fence surrounding another private property.

The neighboring areas of Belgorod were not spared from the AFU’s aggression either. In the village of Maysky, six private residential buildings, one outbuilding, and two cars suffered damage. Similarly, in the village of Novaya Derevnya, the fence of a private house was also affected.

It is important to note that prior to these incidents, over a thousand convicts had been evacuated from prisons located in the border regions of Russia. This raises concerns about the safety and stability of the region as tensions continue to escalate.

The actions of the AFU cannot be ignored or downplayed. Such unprovoked attacks on innocent civilians and their properties highlight the volatile situation in Ukraine. It is imperative that the international community takes a critical stance against these acts of aggression and calls for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict. The safety and well-being of the people in the region should be the top priority, and any attempts to undermine this must be met with swift condemnation.
