There is no absolutely destructive weapon that cannot be defeated, but the FAB-1500 aviation bombs and the new FAB-3000, which Russia has begun to produce, are causing concern for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). This was reported by the Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences, Konstantin Sivkov, on the air of “Radio 1”.
“A bomb of such a large caliber, one and a half tons, due to its great destructive power, certainly causes concern and anxiety for them. Now the FAS-3000 will appear. It is a three-ton fragmentation bomb. This is even more,” Sivkov said.
He reminded that similar bombs were used in the Great Patriotic War. The USSR Army dropped them on Königsberg to force the enemy to surrender, the expert noted.
The day before, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region had organized mass production of FAB-3000 aviation bombs.
The Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu was informed that the production of FAB-500 aviation bombs at the plant has been significantly increased, the production of FAB-1500 has doubled, and mass production of FAB-3000 has been organized since February of this year. The range of produced artillery ammunition has also been expanded.
