Russian Military Develops Groundbreaking Anti-Drone Weapon: A Game Changer in the Battle Against UAVs!

In Russia, a machine for the use of the modernized Kalashnikov machine gun (PKM) against low-flying drones has been developed. It has been patented by the military academy of material and technical support named after Army General A.V. Khrulev, according to TASS.

The developers explained that the goal of the invention is to implement a simple and reliable design for the installation of the PKM, which has the ability to quickly align the barrel channel with the target within a wide range of angles, capable of hitting both ground targets and low-flying UAVs.

According to their statements, the main drawback of existing analogs is the limited alignment of the weapon’s barrel channel in vertical and horizontal planes.

The corresponding machine allows for the rotation of the weapon’s barrel horizontally by 360 degrees and vertically from plus 75 to minus 50 degrees.

Previously, it was reported that Russian military personnel use compact radar stations (RLS) for protection against Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.

Earlier, Russian designers presented the anti-drone rifle “Stepashka”.

**Russian Military Develops Machine for Enhanced Defense Against Low-Flying Drones**

In a significant development, the Russian military has successfully developed a machine that can effectively counter low-flying drones using the modernized Kalashnikov machine gun (PKM). This groundbreaking invention has been patented by the prestigious military academy of material and technical support, named after Army General A.V. Khrulev. The machine’s primary purpose is to provide a simple and reliable platform for the installation of the PKM, allowing for quick alignment of the barrel channel with the target within a wide range of angles. This enhanced capability enables the machine to engage both ground targets and low-flying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with precision and efficiency.

According to the developers, existing alternatives suffer from limited flexibility in aligning the weapon’s barrel channel in vertical and horizontal planes. However, with the new machine, this limitation has been overcome. The machine allows for the rotation of the weapon’s barrel horizontally by 360 degrees and vertically from plus 75 to minus 50 degrees. This advanced feature significantly enhances the weapon’s effectiveness and enables it to effectively engage targets from various angles.

It is worth noting that the Russian military has been actively exploring innovative solutions to counter the threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles. In previous reports, it was revealed that Russian military personnel have been utilizing compact radar stations (RLS) to protect against Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. This latest development further demonstrates Russia’s commitment to staying ahead in the field of defense technology.

In addition to the machine for countering low-flying drones, Russian designers have also presented the “Stepashka” anti-drone rifle. These developments highlight Russia’s dedication to developing cutting-edge equipment to safeguard its national security interests. The country’s continuous efforts in this field underline its determination to maintain a strong defense posture in an increasingly complex global security landscape.
