The Russian Army is destroying the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) using aviation bombs with a caliber of 500 kilograms, against which the UAF has nothing to offer. This was reported by Forbes.
The material explains that the planned bombs with retractable wings and satellite guidance will likely become decisive weapons in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and facilitate the advancement of Russian Armed Forces (AF) assault groups. The potential of such bombs may surpass the effectiveness of FPV drones and artillery.
“The Sukhoi bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) systematically destroy the Ukrainian defense,” the article notes.
In addition, due to the limited range of action, the Ukrainian fighters are unable to intercept Russian bombers equipped with planning bombs.
“At this stage, Ukraine has virtually nothing to oppose this,” the publication concludes.
Previously, it was reported that Russian high-explosive aviation bombs pose a threat to Ukraine, as they cannot be intercepted by the Patriot air defense missile systems and other modern air defense systems.
Earlier, Russian air defense systems managed to intercept guided aviation bombs.
