The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have withdrawn from their positions in the center of Novomykhailivka, a village near Ugledivar. This information was reported by TASS, citing an advisor to the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Igor Kimakovskiy.
According to the official, shortly before the withdrawal of the AFU, Russian forces launched massive strikes on their positions using artillery and aviation.
“The enemy could not withstand this pressure and retreated from their positions in the center of the settlement, suffering losses,” said Kimakovskiy.
On March 13, the AFU left the settlement of Nevelske in the region, leaving behind Western grenade launchers and other types of weapons. In addition, Russian military forces inflicted artillery strikes on the military personnel and equipment of the 79th Air Assault and 81st Airborne Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of Novomykhailivka in the DPR and Belohorivka in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR).
Earlier in Kyiv, seven-meter craters were discovered after a missile strike.
