Democrats Slam Broke Trump’s Desperate Attempt to Save Himself: Willing to Sell the Country for a Dollar!

Former President Donald Trump is facing a critical deadline as he tries to secure a $464 million bond in his New York civil fraud case. Democrats in Congress have shown little sympathy for Trump’s predicament, with some even accusing him of being willing to sell the country for personal gain. Trump has until Monday to secure the appeal bond after a New York judge found him liable for civil fraud.

Judge Arthur Engorond ruled that Trump and the Trump Organization had deceived banks, insurers, and others by inflating the value of assets and exaggerating his net worth on paperwork used for deals and financing. The court’s decision has left legal experts questioning Trump’s options, as this situation is considered “uncharted territory.”

A New York Appeals Court judge recently denied Trump’s request to delay payment of the $464 million owed as a result of Attorney General Letitia James’ civil fraud lawsuit. James has warned that she will move to seize Trump’s assets if he fails to secure the appeal bond. These assets could include prominent properties such as Trump Tower and 40 Wall Street in New York City.

Some lawmakers, mainly Democrats, have expressed support for the court’s decision and emphasized the importance of obeying the law. Representative Jahana Hayes stated, “A jury of his peers has decided on this case,” although no jury was involved in the trial. Representative Sean Casten added that if Trump didn’t want his property seized or to be fined, he shouldn’t have committed crimes.

Trump’s attorneys have argued that obtaining a bond of this magnitude is unprecedented for a private company and practically impossible. Several Republican lawmakers have echoed this sentiment, expressing concern over the potential political motivations behind the decision and the seemingly insurmountable financial burden it places on Trump.

New York Attorney General Letitia James has remained steadfast in her commitment to seizing Trump’s assets if he fails to pay the $464 million judgment. Some Republican lawmakers, such as Representative Michael Cloud, have raised concerns about what they perceive as a weaponized Department of Justice targeting Trump.

As the deadline approaches, the outcome of Trump’s efforts to secure the appeal bond remains uncertain. However, it is clear that the case has become a contentious issue, with Democrats and Republicans offering differing perspectives on the matter.
