Russian Army Launches Offensive in Ukraine, Seizing Villages and Advancing on Multiple Fronts, Ukraine Struggles to Defend Gains

The Russian army is conducting offensive actions across the entire front line, from north to south Ukraine, as part of a special military operation (SMO). This information has been reported by The New York Times (NYT).

The article states that “Russia has captured several small villages, attempting to advance forward.”

According to the publication, in the northeast of the country, the Armed Forces of Russia are approaching the city of Kupyansk through rough terrain. In the Donbass region, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing in four directions, aiming not to miss the flank opportunities gained after the capture of Avdiivka a month ago.

At the same time, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), on the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian army still holds defensive positions on the western side.

“Ukraine is fighting to preserve its small gains,” the article concludes.

Yesterday, former UAF officer Igor Lapin stated that UAF fighters are unable to intercept the innovative Russian attack drones of the “Orlan” prototype.

Previously, the main reason for UAF losses on the battlefield was revealed in the United States.
