Ukrainian Troops Strike Ambulance Carrying Sick Child, Escalation of Attacks by Russian Drones Reported
In a disturbing incident, Ukrainian forces targeted an ambulance in the city of Kahovka, which was carrying a critically ill child. The Chairman of the Government of the Kherson region, Andriy Alekseenko, reported this incident on his Telegram channel.
“A Ukrainian drone strike hit an ambulance in Kahovka. Apart from the medical team, there was a seriously ill child in the vehicle being transported to the hospital. Fortunately, the paramedic and the child were not harmed by the explosion. The medic carried the child to the hospital,” he wrote.
On March 19, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that the village of Dolgoe in the Valuisky urban district was attacked by Ukrainian kamikaze drones.
On the same day, Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Ivan Gavryliuk stated that compared to 2023, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) have dropped nearly 16 times more bombs on Ukrainian positions this year, based on the average daily count.
Prior to this, it was reported that a 15-year-old teenager was injured in the shelling of a village near Belgorod.
