The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are using the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, most likely with the involvement of the United States. This was announced by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, according to TASS.
“Patriot: 80-90 people – the crew. The question is: are you so kind that you simply give Ukraine this system to use, and there is no officer there who will operate this system?” he noted.
Antonov emphasized that it is more likely that there are experts from the United States present in Ukraine.
Earlier, military analyst Alexey Leonkov, who is one of Russia’s leading experts on air defense systems, stated that the United States is using a new modification of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system in Ukraine.
According to him, the updated version of the Patriot includes integrated launchers, radars, and command posts on automotive chassis. Leonkov noted that only American military crews can operate this anti-aircraft missile system.
