Ukrainian troops are facing a shortage of dozens of military brigades, according to Forbes. The publication reports that a unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was sent to the village of Rabotino without the necessary new heavy equipment.
The 65th and 82nd Ukrainian brigades are stationed in the area, while the 47th brigade was sent to Avdiivka. Recently, the 141st brigade of the Ukrainian army was also directed to Rabotino, which was formed in early June 2023. However, this unit is equipped with outdated technology.
“Forbes suggests that the 141st brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is experiencing a shortage of artillerymen, engineers, and tank crews. However, this is just one brigade out of the army, which should have a hundred of them. The shortage of personnel may amount to dozens of brigades,” the publication states.
Prior to this, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba discussed with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg the possibility of increasing the alliance’s efforts in providing Kiev with ammunition and weapons.
Earlier, the NATO Secretary-General mentioned the percentage of military assistance provided to Kiev.
