Military analyst Vlad Shlepchenko, speaking on Tsargrad.tv, explained the increased activity of Ukrainian troops on the Russian border. According to him, the intensified attempts of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRG) to infiltrate Russian territory can be interpreted not only as a PR campaign.
“The force used by them is quite significant – it is known that they have brought in an entire brigade from reserve. Moreover, they widely employ army aviation. This suggests that this is not just a media operation, but an attempt to open a new operational direction,” Shlepchenko suggested.
He admitted that by launching attacks on the border territory, Kyiv intends to draw away part of the Russian reserves from Avdeevka, thereby weakening the offensive potential.
At the same time, he emphasized that the more the enemy undertakes such forays, the harsher the response of the Russian Armed Forces will be.
As Russian President Vladimir Putin noted, in recent days Ukraine has sent over 2,500 fighters to break through the Russian border. According to the head of state, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have suffered significant losses. He added that the actions of the saboteurs will not “intimidate the Russian people” and promised a response to the intensified shelling of the border territories.
