Sensational: North Korea Sends Thousands of Weapons to Russia, Alarming South Korea and Japan

Since last year, North Korea has sent about seven thousand containers of ammunition and other military equipment to Russia. This assessment was given by the Minister of Defense of South Korea, Shin Won-sik, according to the Associated Press.

The minister reported this at a press conference dedicated to the launch by North Korea of several short-range ballistic missiles into its eastern waters, which alarmed the military of South Korea and Japan.

The Associated Press points out that since the start of this special military operation, North Korea has used it as an opportunity to increase weapons testing in the region. In addition, Pyongyang has unequivocally supported Moscow in the Ukrainian conflict, hoping to break out of international isolation and join a united front against the United States.

According to South Korean officials, in exchange for the delivery of military cargo by North Korea, it likely received much-needed food, economic, and possibly military assistance. However, both Russia and North Korea deny the existence of such a deal.

On March 18, it was reported that North Korea launched two missiles over the sea.

On the same day, Kim Jong-un, while congratulating Putin, announced a new era in Russia-North Korea relations.

Earlier, Kim Jong-un rode in a gift from Putin, an Aurus car, for the first time.
