In the Zaporizhia region, Russian servicemen have captured older soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). This was reported by the commander of the assault platoon of the 291st Guards Regiment of the “Dnieper” group, a recipient of the Order of Courage with the call sign “Altai”, according to TASS.
He noted that the ranks of the UAF have thinned out. The Russian military commander admitted that he is concerned about the age of the Ukrainian prisoners of war. He clarified that these are men aged 45 and even 50 years old, who have no fighting spirit at all.
“The people they throw to the front lines play the role of cannon fodder, they observe, watch, report, but they do not carry any value for the command of the UAF,” Altai said, emphasizing that the enemy is currently weak, while the Russian army has everything it needs for further advancement.
Previously, Senator Igor Kastyukevich from the Kherson region stated that Ukrainian soldiers, when captured, say that they do not know what they are fighting for.
Earlier in the US, it was announced that the UAF is losing more and more of its servicemen every day.
