Russian Defense Ministry foils terrorist attack on Russian territory by Ukrainian drone

The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that a drone belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) was shot down in the Moscow region.

The incident occurred at 10:15 am Moscow time. The unmanned aerial vehicle was intercepted and destroyed by the air defense forces.

The Ministry commented on the incident, stating, “The attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using an aircraft-type UAV on the territory of the Russian Federation has been thwarted.”

On the morning of March 17, air defense forces in the Stupino district successfully shot down a drone that was heading towards Moscow.

According to a government official, there were no casualties or damages reported at the crash site.

Emergency services specialists are currently working at the scene of the incident.

During the night of March 17, several Ukrainian drones attempted to attack the Slavyansk oil refinery in the Krasnodar region.

On March 16, another UAV was shot down in the Ramensky district, southeast of Moscow.

It has previously been reported that Ukraine has been compensating for a shortage of ammunition.
