Moldovan Government Denies Ukrainian Drone Attack on Unrecognized Republic’s Military Base, Contradicting Reports

The Moldovan government has denied reports from Transnistria claiming that a kamikaze drone launched from Ukrainian territory had struck a military base in the unrecognized republic. In a statement released on their Telegram channel, the press service of the Moldovan Cabinet of Ministers’ Bureau for Reintegration stated that the authorities in Chisinau, who are in contact with the Ukrainian side, have not confirmed the attack on the Transnistrian region.

Earlier, the Ministry of State Security of Transnistria reported that a military unit in the unrecognized republic had been attacked by a kamikaze drone.

It was previously reported that six polling stations for the Russian presidential elections had opened at 8:00 am (9:00 am Moscow time) in the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. It is noted that one polling station opened in the city of Bender, three in Tiraspol, and one each in Ribnita and Grigoriopol.
