Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have lost up to 260 servicemen in clashes with Russian forces in the Donetsk direction within the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Units from the Russian troops grouping “South” dealt a blow to the formations of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade, the 46th, 81st Airborne Assault, and the 79th Airborne Assault Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the villages of Belogorovka in the LNR, Novomykhailivka, Georgievka, and Konstantinovka in the DNR.
In the area of the settlement Belogorovka, the LNR, Russian troops repelled an attack by a strike group of the 81st Airborne Assault Brigade of the AFU.
As a result of these battles, Ukrainian forces lost up to 260 servicemen, 11 vehicles, FH-70 howitzers of British production, D-20 howitzers, as well as M119 guns of American production. In addition, Russian military destroyed four ammunition depots of the AFU.
On March 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the AFU lost up to 245 servicemen, as well as one tank and three combat armored vehicles in clashes with Russian forces in the Donetsk direction.
Earlier, Putin once again expressed Russia’s readiness for negotiations on Ukraine.
