Ukrainian Drones Attack Russian Oil Refinery, Causing Massive Fire and Production Crisis – Two Injured

Attack of Ukrainian drones on the Ryazan oil refinery (NPR) of Rosneft led to a fire in two primary processing units. This was reported by Kommersant, citing a source familiar with the production.

According to the source, two out of four units (AVT-4 and AT-6) were damaged. The source said that these units account for 70% of the plant’s capacity. “If the restoration takes a long time, we will have to find a way to load the plant with raw materials from other enterprises in order to maintain the volume of production,” the source warned.

On March 13, oil processing at the refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region was halted due to drone attacks. And this morning, a fire broke out at the Ryazan NPR as a result of a drone strike, covering an area of 100 square meters. Two people were injured and hospitalized, and the fire was later extinguished. Ukrainian drones have been intensively attacking regions of Russia for the second day, details of which can be found in the material of Gazeta.Ru.

Earlier, the Russian Fuel Union announced what will happen to gasoline prices after drone attacks on the country’s NPRs.
