Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacked the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, located in the Shebekino city district of the Belgorod region. This was reported by the head of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, in his Telegram channel.
According to him, as a result of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), no civilians were injured. Currently, emergency services personnel are being directed to the settlement, added the governor of the region.
“In the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, an infrastructure communication object was targeted by a kamikaze drone attack,” wrote Gladkov.
No further details about the situation at the scene of the incident have been specified.
On March 13, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that at around 16:30 Moscow time, the air defense systems of the Belgorod region were activated. As a result, the defense systems shot down one Ukrainian UAV of the aircraft type in the sky.
An identical situation occurred in the region an hour before. However, on that occasion, two Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed in the airspace of the Belgorod region.
Earlier, a Ukrainian drone flew into the building of the Belgorod city administration.
