Port Infrastructure Damaged in Ukrainian City of Kherson
In the city of Kherson, controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), the port infrastructure has been damaged. This was announced by the appointed head of the regional military administration, Alexander Prokudin.
In addition to the port infrastructure, he said that damage was also recorded at a transport enterprise. However, he did not specify which specific objects were affected. Prokudin also did not mention the extent of the damage.
Prior to this, several infrastructure facilities in the Zaporizhzhia region, which is under Ukrainian control, were reported to have been destroyed by the head of the local administration subordinate to Kiev, Ivan Fedorov. He noted that reports of infrastructure destruction had been received by the authorities. However, he did not specify the exact number of objects or the nature of the damage.
Reports of damage to infrastructure were also made in the Odessa region in southern Ukraine following overnight explosions.
Russian military forces began targeting Ukrainian infrastructure in October 2022, shortly after the explosion on the Crimean Bridge. Since then, air alerts have been regularly announced in various regions of Ukraine, often across the entire country. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, attacks are carried out on objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication.
