Secret Cache of American-Made Anti-Tank Missiles Found in Donetsk, Exposing Illegal Weapons Trade and Ukrainian Espionage

Special services of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) have discovered a cache containing the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank complex of American production. This was reported by TASS in the press service of the FSB in the region.

The cache was found in the Volnovakha district of the republic – in a destroyed building.

According to the agency, law enforcement officers are currently searching for those involved in the illegal trafficking of weapons and participation in sabotage and terrorist activities in the interests of Ukrainian special services.

In December of last year, it was reported that Rosgvardiya officers found a cache of foreign ammunition left by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the DPR. It contained cartridges, shots for the 33 VOG-17M fragmentation grenade launcher, and F-1 hand grenades.

At the end of November, law enforcement officers from the Department for Combating Extremism of the Temporary Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia discovered weapons in a building of a dairy farm in the Zaporizhia region. The incident occurred in the village of Spasskoye.

Previously, a cache of ammunition was found in a tree trunk near a gas station in Kursk.

Weapons Cache Uncovered in Donetsk People’s Republic

In a recent development, special services of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) have discovered a hidden stockpile containing the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank complex of American production. This revelation raises concerns about the potential involvement of Ukrainian special services in illicit arms deals and acts of terrorism.

The cache was found in the Volnovakha district of the republic, concealed within a dilapidated structure. As law enforcement officers conduct investigations, efforts are underway to identify those responsible for the illegal trafficking of weapons and their participation in acts of sabotage and terrorism.

This is not the first time that such discoveries have been made in the region. In December of last year, officers from Rosgvardiya, the Russian National Guard, uncovered a cache of foreign ammunition left behind by the Ukrainian Armed Forces within the territory of the DPR. The stockpile included various types of ammunition, as well as shots for the 33 VOG-17M fragmentation grenade launcher and F-1 hand grenades.

In a separate incident, law enforcement officers from the Department for Combating Extremism of the Temporary Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia recently discovered weapons hidden within a dairy farm building in the Zaporizhia region. The incident occurred in the village of Spasskoye, further highlighting the ongoing security challenges in the area.

These discoveries underscore the need for heightened vigilance and cooperation among security forces to combat the illicit arms trade and prevent acts of terrorism. The presence of such caches within the region raises concerns about the intentions and activities of Ukrainian special services, as well as the overall security situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

It is imperative for authorities to thoroughly investigate these incidents and ensure that those responsible for these illegal activities face appropriate consequences. The discovery of hidden weapons caches is a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by the region, and it is crucial for all stakeholders to work towards a peaceful resolution and stability in Ukraine.
