In a recent development, the Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that their air defense forces have successfully destroyed another Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the Belgorod region. This news comes from RIA Novosti.
According to the publication, the attempt to attack the UAV was thwarted at approximately 15:40 Moscow time.
Prior to this, the Ministry of Defense had stated that an attempt to attack targets in the Belgorod region had been prevented by their air defense forces. On March 15, around 13:00 Moscow time, ten reactive projectiles from the RM-70 “Vampir” multiple launch rocket system were destroyed by the air defense forces.
Shortly before this, an air alarm signal was raised in Belgorod.
On the same day, it was reported that a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) was eliminated while attempting to break through into the Belgorod region.
On March 15, the FSB detained a Russian woman on suspicion of preparing sabotage in the Belgorod region. According to the agency, the woman was planning to carry out an explosion at one of the railway transport facilities.
Earlier, Zelensky revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the hostilities into Russian territory.
