The Russian Army is targeting positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Avdiivka direction in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) with all types of artillery. This statement was made by retired Ukrainian General Serhiy Krivonos during an interview on local TV channel “Pravda”.
“Starting from conventional artillery to rocket artillery,” the military explained.
He emphasized that in recent weeks, the artillery of the Russian Armed Forces seemed to have “broken loose from its chains”.
According to the information from the retired general, the Russian army possesses a significant number of artillery installations, which not only helps to conduct concentrated fire but also allows for quick reinforcement in various areas of the front.
“This is not panic, it is a statement of fact,” Krivonos concluded.
Yesterday, Forbes magazine reported that the artillery of the Russian army effectively operates in conjunction with drones against the AFU. The successful cooperation between reconnaissance drones and artillery allows Russian gunners to quickly change targets and strike before the target attempts to escape.
Previously, the Russian forces used remote mining tactics.
