Orange County District Attorney Cracks Down on Crime with Public Safety Campaign
In a bold move to combat the surge in criminal activities, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office has launched a public safety campaign aimed at deterring would-be offenders from neighboring counties. Spitzer emphasized the stark reality that criminals face when choosing to commit crimes in Orange County. “When the risk is far less than the reward, it’s no surprise that criminals are committing smash and grabs, residential burglaries, and simply walking out the front door of stores with arms full of stolen merchandise,” he explained.
Not stopping at billboards, the campaign will also utilize various platforms, including buses in Los Angeles and Long Beach, bumper stickers, and text messages targeting cellphone users across multiple counties. By saturating the region with these messages, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office hopes to make it abundantly clear that crime will not go unpunished in their jurisdiction.
District Attorney Spitzer’s commitment to cracking down on crime is not a recent development.
