Kursk Region on High Alert: Threat of Drone Attacks! Government Warns Citizens as Air Defense Forces Stand Prepared

Authorities in the Kursk region have warned of the threat of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks. This was reported in the government’s Telegram channel.

“Kursk region: UAV attack threat. Stay vigilant! Air defense forces and means are ready to repel a possible attack,” the statement said.

Later, Governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, also warned of the danger of UAV attacks. He emphasized that air defense capabilities are on standby.

The main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Belgorod region stated that there is a missile danger in the region.

Prior to this, it became known that SMS notifications will be introduced in the Kursk region for local residents in emergency situations, which they will receive in case of a UAV attack threat.

According to the regional government’s information, SMS and push notifications will be sent around the clock, and television signals will also be intercepted. Local residents were advised to remain calm and vigilant, not to approach or touch any UAV debris if found, as they may be explosive, and to call 112 with the location of the UAV.

Earlier, Zelensky revealed what is preventing Ukraine from moving the hostilities to the territory of the Russian Federation.

The Kursk region has recently raised concerns about the potential threat of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks. The regional government issued a statement through its official Telegram channel, warning residents to stay vigilant. According to the statement, air defense forces and capabilities have been put on high alert to counter any possible attacks.

Governor Roman Starovoit further highlighted the risks posed by UAV attacks and emphasized the preparedness of the region’s air defense systems. The Ministry of Emergency Situations in the neighboring Belgorod region also acknowledged the missile danger in the area.

In response to the growing concern, authorities have implemented a new SMS notification system to keep locals informed in case of emergency situations, specifically in the event of a UAV attack threat. These notifications will be sent 24/7, accompanied by push notifications and television broadcasts. Residents have been advised to remain calm and vigilant, urging them not to approach or touch any UAV debris due to potential explosives. Instead, they are encouraged to report the location of any UAV to the emergency hotline, 112.

This development comes as tensions remain high between Ukraine and Russia, with Ukrainian President Zelensky recently discussing the challenges of moving the conflict onto Russian territory.

The Kursk region, known for its historical significance and natural beauty, is now faced with the added challenge of ensuring the safety and security of its residents amid the potential threat of UAV attacks. The government’s proactive measures, such as the SMS notification system and the heightened state of air defense readiness, demonstrate their commitment to protecting the region and its inhabitants.

As the situation continues to unfold, it is crucial for authorities to maintain transparency and provide regular updates to the public. The safety and well-being of the Kursk region’s residents should remain a top priority, requiring continuous vigilance and cooperation from all stakeholders involved.
