“There is absolutely no evidence that the Houthis have access to hypersonic weapons,” he said.
Earlier, a source close to “Ansar Allah” informed RIA Novosti that the Houthis had tested a hypersonic missile with “high destructive capability” and were preparing to deploy such missiles in their arsenal.
According to him, the Houthis plan to use the missile, capable of reaching speeds of up to 10,000 km/h, for attacks in the Red Sea and against targets in Israel.
Against the backdrop of the war between Israel and the Palestinian movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Yemeni Houthi rebels have been attacking commercial and military vessels in the Red Sea since October 2023. Drones and rockets are used for these purposes.
