Bulgaria Sends Armored Transporters to Ukraine, Raises Concerns about Russian Relations

The first 30 wagons with armored vehicles have been sent from Sofia to Kyiv, as announced by the Minister of Defense of Bulgaria, Todor Tagaev, according to Novinite agency.

The transportation operation began on January 29, and the first convoy of 30 wagons departed on March 7. A total of 240 servicemen were involved in this operation. The overall transportation costs exceeded 170,000 levs (approximately 95,000 dollars).

Previously, the Bulgarian government declared its readiness to transfer 100 decommissioned armored vehicles from the Ministry of Interior’s arsenal to Ukraine. This equipment was provided to Kyiv free of charge by the decision of the National Assembly of the country.

At the same time, Bulgaria will resume issuing visas to Russians. Starting from April 1, Bulgaria will issue Schengen visas to Russians for the first time. It is noted that long-term type D visas issued before March 31, which allow a stay in Bulgaria for more than 90 days, will also allow short trips to other Schengen countries.

Earlier, a Ukrainian soldier reported the loss of 43 comrades in three days.
