Attack on Ship Near Yemen Coast Raises Concerns: Husite Group Claims Targeting American Vessel in Red Sea

An attack on a ship near the coast of Yemen has been reported by the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), according to TASS.

The attack took place 50 nautical miles (just over 90 kilometers) southwest of the Yemeni port of Hodeida. UKMTO did not provide any details about the incident.

Earlier, the Houthi movement, which rules northern Yemen, claimed responsibility for a precise attack on the American ship Pinocchio in the Red Sea.

It has been previously reported that Houthi attacks in the Red Sea have increased demand for cargo transit to Europe through Russia. Michael Oldwell, Head of Maritime Logistics at Kuehne & Nagel, stated that there is a “greater demand” for delivering goods from Asia to Europe by rail under current conditions.

Previously, the Americans shot down rockets and drones belonging to the Houthis.
