Missing Mizzou Student Riley Strain Sparks Concern in Nashville
The disappearance of University of Missouri student Riley Strain in downtown Nashville has raised serious concerns among friends, family, and law enforcement. Strain, 22, went missing on March 8 after a night out with friends at Luke Bryan’s Nashville bar.
Surveillance video released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department shows Strain crossing a street in the downtown area just before 10 p.m. on that fateful night. He was wearing a black and brown shirt, which was the last outfit his friends saw him in. According to reports, Strain was reportedly kicked out of the bar and has not been seen or heard from since.
Strain had traveled to Nashville with his fraternity brothers for a convention and had planned to walk back to their hotel, the Tempo by Hilton, which was about five blocks away. However, it seems that Strain may have gotten disoriented or lost as he was seen walking in the opposite direction of his hotel. His phone last pinged between 10 and 10:30 p.m. in the area of Public Square Park, near the sheriff’s office and the Cumberland River.
The search for Strain has intensified, with police deploying a helicopter to scour the area where he was last seen. Detectives on the ground have also conducted searches, but so far, no trace of Strain has been found. The investigation into his whereabouts is ongoing.
Family and friends are understandably distraught over Strain’s disappearance. His stepfather, Chris Whiteid, described the situation as a “nightmare” and emphasized that it is highly unusual for Strain to go this long without contacting his mother, whom he speaks to multiple times a day.
The TC Restaurant Group, which owns and operates Luke’s 32 Bridge, has expressed its cooperation with the police in providing security camera footage and any other information that might aid in the search for Strain. The group’s thoughts and prayers are with Strain’s family during this difficult time.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Strain’s whereabouts or anyone who may have seen him to contact the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department immediately. Strain is described as a white male, approximately 6’5″ to 6’7″ tall, weighing around 160 pounds, with dark blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black and brown button-up shirt, blue jeans, brown boots, and a black Apple watch.
As the search for Riley Strain continues, the hope remains that he will be found safe and reunited with his loved ones. The community’s support and cooperation are vital in bringing him back home.
