Russian Bomber Flying Near Finland’s Coast Not Suspected of Airspace Violation
A Russian bomber flying near the coast of Finland is not suspected of violating the country’s airspace, according to Yle, citing the border service and the Ministry of Defense of Finland.
It is noted that the Finnish Air Force conducted a patrol flight in response to the appearance of the Russian bomber.
Earlier, it became known that Eurofighter fighters of the German Air Force, participating in the NATO mission to monitor airspace over the Baltic Sea, were involved due to the Russian Il-20.
It was also reported that Russian Tu-22M3 and MiG-31 performed scheduled flights on Tuesday, March 12. As reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the flights took place over the neutral waters of the Baltic and Caspian Seas.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia noted that all flights of the Russian military aviation are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.
Earlier, it was reported that Russia’s long-range aviation will be replenished with aircraft “according to new principles.”
