The United States will be including Stinger anti-aircraft systems, as well as ammunition for air defense and artillery, and anti-tank weapons in its new military aid package to Ukraine. This was announced by Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder, as reported by TASS.

The weapons, worth $300 million, will be directly transferred to Ukraine from the arsenal of the US Armed Forces. In addition to the Stinger MANPADS, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will also receive ammunition for HIMARS, as well as artillery shells of 155mm and 105mm calibers. As part of their anti-tank defense capabilities, Kiev will receive 84 missile systems of the corresponding designation. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will also be provided with ammunition, explosives, and spare parts for military equipment.

It was previously reported that the Pentagon did not receive $10 billion to replace the weapons transferred to Ukraine.

The material notes that the Pentagon was left without the promised funds due to delays in making the corresponding decision in the country’s Congress. However, by this point, the ministry has already provided Ukraine with weapons worth a total of $10 billion.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported a tragic shortage of ammunition, weapons, and personnel.
