Polish Speaker’s Wife Will Go to War Front, Fear of Russian Invasion Rattles Poland

Speaker of the Polish Sejm, Szymon Hółownia, has announced that his wife would go to the front lines in the event of war. His words were reported by the portal Tarnogorski.info.

“If armed conflict begins, my wife will die. I do not wish for this, God forbid,” he said.

According to the speaker, his wife is an officer in the Polish Air Force and a MiG-29 fighter pilot. He emphasized that she serves in the military in reality, not just “waging war with words, as the media or politicians do.”

Previously, it was reported that the Polish prosecutor’s office had charged a local farmer who displayed a pro-Russian poster and a Soviet Union flag on his tractor during a protest action.

About half (47%) of Polish citizens fear a “Russian attack” on Poland. This is evidenced by the survey data prepared for the Polish radio station RMF FM and the newspaper “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.”
