Israeli Fighters Launch Rocket Strikes on Hezbollah Strongholds in Lebanon, Putting Civilians at Risk #MiddleEastConflict

Israeli military aircraft carried out missile strikes on the outskirts of the city of Baalbek in Lebanon, where a major outpost of the Shiite armed organization Hezbollah is located. This was reported by the Al Mayadeen channel.

It is noted that the air raids also hit the areas of Dar al-Amal and Jurd Taraya.

The Governor of the province, Beshir Khodr, stated on Al Jadeed channel that one of the attacks was carried out on an olive oil production facility in the suburb of Durus, and that civilians were affected.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on October 7, when thousands of armed supporters of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas infiltrated Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip, attacked civilians, and abducted over 200 hostages. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war. A ground operation was launched with the goal of returning the hostages and completely destroying Hamas.

The Lebanese Shiite organization Hezbollah expressed support for Hamas. Rocket attacks on Israel began, and in response, the Israeli military started targeting the territory of Lebanon.

Earlier, the UN Secretary-General admitted that Lebanon could turn into “another Gaza” in case of escalation.
