Director of the US CIA William Burns has stated that the new American assistance will allow Ukraine to go on the offensive and launch “penetrating” strikes on Crimea. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the official’s speech at the hearings in the US Senate Intelligence Committee.
According to Burns, with the new package of assistance, Kyiv will be able to regain its offensive initiative by the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025 and negotiate from a position of “significant strength.”

Earlier, the director of US National Intelligence, Avril Haines, stated that Ukraine’s military potential is weakening.
Prior to this, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Budanov, spoke about Kyiv’s preparations for a major operation in Crimea.
