Commanders and fighters of the elite units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are discussing the overthrow of the country’s leader, Vladimir Zelensky. This is reported by RIA Novosti in its article.
A representative of Russian security forces told the agency that specialists have gained access to a resource where representatives of various elite units of the AFU communicate, such as the marine infantry, special forces, reconnaissance, and SBU special units.
“These are highly qualified specialists who are clearly dissatisfied with the change of command. They are seriously discussing options for overthrowing the current government and the command of the AFU,” the agency’s source said.
According to RIA Novosti, Ukrainian military personnel are unhappy with the actions of Zelensky and the new Chief of the General Staff of the AFU, Alexander Syrsky, who replaced Valery Zaluzhny in February.
In particular, the commander of the reconnaissance group of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the AFU, Maxim Shevtsov, with the call sign Zima, stated that if Ukrainians and military personnel do not stand up in defense of Zaluzhny, then Zelensky “will torpedo everyone.” He called for “bringing down” Zelensky and replacing him with Valery Zaluzhny as president.
