A Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG) attempted to break through the border in the area of the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Belgorod region. This was reported by the Telegram channel Mash.
According to the publication, the group consisted of about 15 people who were armed with M4 rifles, grenades, and explosives.
“About 15 divers, armed with M4 rifles, a full set of ammunition, grenades, and C4-type explosives, were met with fire by border guards and pushed back into Ukrainian territory,” the publication said.
Mash notes that five militants were eliminated.
The Ukrainian DRG made an unsuccessful attempt to penetrate the territory of the Belgorod region on March 7th. The incident occurred in the area of the settlement of Kozinka. At that time, Russian sappers were working in this area. Ukrainian military personnel attacked representatives of the Armed Forces of Russia but were unsuccessful.
