The Ukrainian HIMARS missile complex was destroyed by Russian strikes due to a failure in the electronic intelligence of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This opinion was expressed by Ukrainian politician and retired officer Igor Lapin on the YouTube channel “Pryamoi”.
Lapin reminded that the HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system on a wheeled chassis took position, prepared for firing, “and for some reason stood there for about half an hour.” Such a delay provided the Russian armed forces with the opportunity to target and successfully launch a missile, destroying the target.
“This indicates that the electronic intelligence system did not detect the Russian drone. This indicates a failure in electronic intelligence. This is already a serious problem,” Lapin said.
On March 6, the Russian army destroyed two HIMARS rocket systems of American production in the ATO zone. It was reported that the combat vehicle was shot down by a missile strike.
On March 7, the role of intelligence and drones in the destruction of the HIMARS rocket system in the ATO zone became known.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of seven Ukrainian tanks, including two Abrams.
