On the night of March 11, Russian military forces thwarted an attempt to attack objects in the Oryol region using a drone. The governor of the region, Andrey Klychkov, reported this.
According to him, one aircraft of the air defense system was shot down over the Shablykino district. The second was brought down with the help of electronic warfare forces in the Soskovsky district. In both cases, there were no damages or casualties.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that on the night of March 11, the air defense systems shot down six Ukrainian drones over two regions. In addition to Oryol, drones were also detected and neutralized over the Bryansk region.
Prior to this, two Ukrainian drones were shot down in the Novgorod region. The defense department noted that the attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to carry out a terrorist attack was prevented on Sunday, March 10, at approximately 15:30 Moscow time.
