The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are capable of launching an airstrike on Ukrainian positions within minutes. This was stated by Colonel Oleg Starikov, a retired officer of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), during an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest’s YouTube channel (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia).
The expert commented on one of the episodes of the hostilities, as a result of which the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) lost a Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) of American production. He suggested that Russian forces have developed a modern reconnaissance-strike complex and integrated it into the information transmission system.
“As soon as we received the intelligence data, the information went straight up, and the flight mission was immediately introduced, and it arrived immediately. So, it took a minute or two,” Starikov said.
The colonel added that now the Russian Armed Forces can immediately launch air strikes on the locations of UAF personnel and equipment.
Furthermore, according to him, the Russian forces have reached an entirely new level in terms of military power. This includes bombers and aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces, against which it becomes increasingly difficult to resist.
On March 9, information about the destruction of the Patriot SAM in the area of the special military operation (SMO) appeared on the “Rybar” Telegram channel. Journalists reported that the Russian Armed Forces used the Iskander missile system to carry out the combat mission.
Earlier, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation explained how the destruction of the Patriot SAM affects the authority of the United States on the international stage.
