Russian Air Bombs Equipped with Guided Planning and Correction Modules (GPM) are difficult to detect by Ukrainian air defense systems, making them a particularly dangerous threat to the enemy. This opinion was expressed by French Colonel Vincent Arbaretier in an interview with the LCI television channel.
The Colonel explained that at the moment of launch from a fighter-bomber, the air bomb with GPM is located at a distance of 60-70 kilometers from the target.
“We cannot see how it flies to its destination, as it is difficult to detect and is low-profile,” he said.
Arbaretier added that the GPM takes into account the enemy’s electronic warfare capabilities and can counter them. The bomb itself is capable of destroying reinforced concrete structures and fortifications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On March 9, Germany was surprised by the accuracy of Russia’s use of air bombs against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
