Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz is concerned that if German missiles with a range of over 500 km were to be delivered to Ukraine, Ukrainian forces would launch uncontrolled attacks on targets deep within Russian territory. This view is shared by Dmitry Kornev, the founder of the website MilitaryRussia.ru, as quoted by the radio station “Govorit Moskva.”
“There is a feeling that Scholz is afraid of escalating the situation, his political position is not very strong, perhaps he simply fears harming Russia, as he has plans for further cooperation with the Russian Federation,” he said.
Earlier, the newspaper Politico reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is against sending long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, fearing a confrontation with Russia.
Previously, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto stated that Scholz acted wisely by refusing to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
