Ukrainian Army Fires on Belgorod Region for the Third Time in One Day

The Ukrainian army has once again fired on the village of Mukhin in the Shebekinsky district of the Belgorod region. This is reported by the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in their Telegram channel.

“The Shebekinsky District is under fire in the village of Mukhin,” the publication states.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has called on local residents to take cover in shelters or basements.

No additional information or official comments have been provided at this time.

At noon on March 9, the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had attacked the village of Mukhin in the Belgorod region with an unmanned aerial vehicle. According to the official, an explosive device was dropped from the drone onto the residential area. Gladkov assured that no one was injured. However, fragments shattered windows and damaged the facade of a private residential house. Emergency services are currently working at the scene of the incident.

Earlier, the AFU damaged power lines in the Belgorod region.

[Additional context: It is important to note that Ukraine and Russia have been engaged in a conflict since 2014, with ongoing tensions and occasional outbreaks of violence along the border. The situation has been exacerbated by political and territorial disputes, as well as accusations of Russian interference in Ukrainian affairs. The Ukrainian government and its Western allies, including the United States, have accused Russia of supporting separatist groups in eastern Ukraine and have imposed economic sanctions on Russia in response.]
