Ukraine has placed Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems too close to the front lines, giving Russia the opportunity to accurately and effectively strike them. This opinion was expressed by German journalist Julian Repke on his social media page.
He pointed out that Ukrainian forces had positioned two Patriot launchers less than 40 kilometers from the front lines, with each of them located less than 10 meters apart.
According to the journalist, the systems remained in these positions for a considerable amount of time, allowing Russian military forces to successfully target and destroy each of them.
“No words,” concluded Repke, reflecting on the tactical decision of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that led to the destruction of two American anti-aircraft missile systems.
On March 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a missile strike from the Iskander missile system had destroyed a S-300 anti-aircraft missile launcher, as well as a target illumination and missile guidance radar, and two accompanying vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Following this, the TASS news agency, citing security forces, reported the destruction of three Patriot missile systems.
Earlier, Ukrainian analysts suggested that the Patriots were destroyed in the Donetsk People’s Republic due to traitors within the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
