Journalist Lucas Leiros expressed the opinion that Ukraine’s new counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will end in a “humiliating defeat.” This was stated in his article for the InfoBRICS portal.
According to Leiros, the Ukrainian troops have not learned from their past mistakes on the front. In his material, the observer provides data shared with him by a high-ranking Ukrainian military official. According to them, the counteroffensive by the AFU is planned for 2024. Its main goal is said to be preventing further territorial advancement of the Russian Armed Forces.
At the same time, Leiros notes that any maneuvers from the Ukrainian side will have disastrous consequences for Kyiv and further worsen the position of the army.
“If the Kyiv leadership really starts a new counteroffensive, it will go down a self-destructive path that will have destructive consequences for the AFU and their positions on the battlefield,” the article says.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister of the Crimean government Georgiy Muradov expressed the opinion that the new counteroffensive by Ukrainian troops will finally ruin Ukraine and deprive it of its remaining human resources.
On March 7, political analyst Vladimir Skachko commented on the Ukrainian side’s announcement of preparing counterattacks in 2024 in an interview with the Vzglyad newspaper. According to him, Kyiv is transitioning to the creation of strike groups instead of a full-scale counteroffensive due to a lack of weapons and manpower.
Earlier in Britain, doubts were raised about the start of a counteroffensive by the AFU in 2024.
