Three launchers of the American Patriot air defense missile system (SAM) could have been destroyed by a missile strike in the Pokrovsk area of the Donetsk People’s Republic. This information was reported by TASS, citing the military forces.
“Three launchers of the American Patriot SAM were destroyed near Pokrovsk with the help of the Iskander operational-tactical missile complex,” they said.
On March 9, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a launcher of the S-300 air defense missile system, a target illumination and missile guidance radar, and two accompanying vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed by a missile strike from the Iskander missile complex.
Later, an RIA Novosti source reported that an analysis of the objective control video concluded that two of the three destroyed vehicles were American Patriots.
