Russian military forces have reportedly destroyed or suppressed over 300 Ukrainian drones in the sky over the Kherson region in the past week. This information was shared by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldov, in his Telegram channel.
Saldov revealed that during this period, the troops of the “Dnieper” task force successfully engaged in counter-battery combat against Ukrainian artillery and mortars. Russian Armed Forces soldiers also managed to eliminate a Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage group (RSG) and destroy several unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) command posts. Furthermore, several Ukrainian military units’ concentrations of personnel and equipment came under attack.
“The losses of the enemy in the responsibility zone of the ‘Dnieper’ task force over the week amounted to: UAVs (shot down and suppressed) – 317,” added the regional governor.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reportedly lost up to 400 soldiers and four tanks. Alongside this, Russian military forces disabled seven Ukrainian combat armored vehicles, 35 various artillery pieces, 27 vehicles, and two boats.
Earlier, Russian forces destroyed two Western infantry fighting vehicles near the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk.
