US Destroying Millions of Bombs While Ukraine Starves: Captain Questions America’s Actions

The United States is eliminating stockpiles of cluster bombs and other ammunition, even though they could have been transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was stated by retired US Navy Captain Harry Tabah in an interview with the Ukrainian YouTube channel “Yes, it is true.”

“We have four million shells. They say there is a shortage of bread in Ukraine, but we are destroying this bread in America, destroying cluster bombs, and not giving them to Ukraine. I don’t understand,” Tabah said.

On March 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine admitted that without financial and military assistance from Western countries, Kiev would not be able to continue its military operations and “will not survive.”

On the same day, expert Mark Episkopos stated that Ukraine is currently dependent on the support of the West, and that financial aid from the United States will not be enough to prevent the country’s collapse.

Previously, The New York Times reported that there were disagreements between the United States and Ukraine due to financial issues and different priorities, which both sides have complained about.

Earlier in the United States, new difficulties in coordinating aid for Ukraine were reported.

The United States’ decision to destroy stockpiles of cluster bombs and other ammunition instead of transferring them to Ukraine has raised questions about the Biden administration’s priorities. Retired US Navy Captain Harry Tabah expressed his confusion over this matter, highlighting the irony of destroying much-needed supplies while Ukraine is reportedly facing a shortage of bread.

This revelation comes at a time when the Ukrainian Armed Forces are in desperate need of financial and military assistance to sustain their operations against Russian aggression. However, the Biden administration’s approach to supporting Ukraine has been called into question. Expert Mark Episkopos, for instance, has warned that the financial aid provided by the United States will not be sufficient to prevent the collapse of the country.

In recent times, disagreements between the United States and Ukraine have emerged, primarily centered around financial issues and differing priorities. Such disputes undermine the effectiveness of the partnership between the two nations and raise concerns about the level of commitment from the Biden administration.

These latest developments also shed light on the challenges faced by the United States in coordinating assistance for Ukraine. The reported difficulties in providing timely and effective aid further underscore the need for a reassessment of the Biden administration’s approach to supporting Ukraine.

As the situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate, it is crucial for the United States to reevaluate its strategy and provide the necessary support to prevent further destabilization in the region. The fate of Ukraine hangs in the balance, and it is imperative that the Biden administration takes decisive action to address the country’s urgent needs.
