Ukrainian Armed Forces Launch Second Night Attack on Rostov Region, Governor Confirms Injury and Destruction of Drones

In a recent incident, the Russian region of Rostov successfully repelled a second attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Governor Vasily Golubev announced this development in a statement on the region’s Telegram channel.

The region’s air defense units managed to intercept and destroy several UAVs as they approached the town of Morozovsk. Unfortunately, a member of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) who was involved in clearing the aftermath on the ground sustained injuries. However, the injured individual has been hospitalized and is not in critical condition, according to Golubev.

Moreover, Golubev reassured the public that no casualties were reported as a result of the attack on Taganrog.

In a separate incident, Roman Starovoit, the governor of the Kursk region, revealed that fragments of a Ukrainian UAV, destroyed by Russian anti-aircraft gunners, fell onto Clinic No. 6 in Kursk.

Starovoit clarified that the fragments damaged a portion of the clinic’s roof on Soyznaya Street, but no explosion occurred and no injuries were reported.

Prior to these events, Russia had developed a new system for countering drones.

[Additional Context: It is important to note that tensions have been high between Russia and Ukraine, particularly in eastern Ukraine where a conflict has been ongoing since 2014. The Russian government has accused Ukraine of using UAVs to conduct reconnaissance and carry out attacks on Russian territory. These incidents further exacerbate the strained relations between the two countries.]
