The Russian Ministry of Defense has released footage showing the destruction of the Ukrainian S-300 air defense system launcher near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
The launcher was targeted and destroyed by accurate strikes from the Iskander operational-tactical missile complex (OTRK).
Prior to this, Russian forces destroyed the target acquisition and observation radar of the Ukrainian S-300 air defense system.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the strikes were carried out using operational-tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as missile forces and artillery.
Along with the S-300 radar, ammunition depots, fuel and lubricant storage facilities of the Ukrainian army, as well as a storage and manufacturing facility for drones were also destroyed.
On February 28, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) released a video showing the arrest of a Ukrainian spy in Rostov-on-Don, who was attempting to purchase components for the S-300 air defense system.
It was previously reported that Russia is countering expensive Abrams tanks with inexpensive “Upyr” drones.
