US Army Sergeant Corbin Schultz has been accused by US authorities of selling classified military documents to China, related to Taiwan’s defense organization, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and Pentagon’s military capabilities. CBS News reports this.

Sergeant Schultz was arrested on March 7th and charged with six counts, including conspiracy and bribery. He has been serving in the US Army since 2018, working as an intelligence analyst. Since June 2022, he engaged in encrypted communication with an unknown individual from Hong Kong and allegedly leaked secret documents in exchange for payment. The investigation believes that Sergeant Schultz received a reward of $42,000. In one of the messages, he reportedly told his handler, “I need to get my second BMW back.”

Among other things, Schultz, upon request from his contact, “provided information about high-mobility artillery rocket systems that the US sent to Ukraine for use against Russia.”

On February 27th, it was reported that a former FBI informant involved in the impeachment case against Biden, Smirnov, was arrested in the US.

Previously, a high-ranking Capitol employee came under investigation for assisting the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
